The Rest of Summer in a Flash
The rest of the summer we have been trying to stay cool and enjoy time together before we have this little baby come to our family.
We had fun visiting the local splashpark.
We have been hanging out with lots of friends. These kids have quite the imagination together and decided to all hold "church" on the stairs. So cute!
I was recently moved from Young Women's into the Primary Presidency. I am loving it and have had so much fun with sharing time. The kids are great to be with. For one lesson I put together an armor of God visual and it has now become knight dress-ups for Joshua since "Princess Aliyah" needs someone to rescue her.
Aliyah couldn't help to try it on as well.
Aliyah was able to have swim lessons this summer. She has recently been nervous about water and so we thought it would help. Not sure if it helped or hindered, but she got more brave as time went on. She had fun doing it with her friend.
The best part about summer is peaches. I am addicted and have to freeze and can them to hold onto a little of summer. So glad I got some done this year.
So sad to see the rest of summer quickly slip away, but we are so looking forward to little baby girl to come at the beginning of fall that it makes it okay to see fall coming soon.
Wedding, Cousins, and Fireworks
We headed out to Utah for my brother's wedding. We had a great time spending time with family. It always goes too quickly, but we managed to squeeze in some fun times.
The kids helped Jed wash his car, which soon became covered in all sorts of decorations after the wedding. It sure looked good before hand.
We had a great time with the cousins as we enjoyed a local children's museum. Aliyah could have stayed on the horses forever.
Joshua trying his hand at milking a cow.
The kids even got to act out a play.
Joshua didn't mind the idea of being royalty. He loves to dress up.
Making plenty of noise with all the instruments.
This boy has a soft spot in his heart for his Grandpas. He was spoiled with Grandpa's attention.
We kept up tradition and had our Fourth of July family softball game. Aliyah even got in on the action. She loved it!
This was just after Joshua threw up a ball and whacked himself in the head with it. Anything it takes to toughen him up.
That night we stayed up late to enjoy the fireworks. Thanks to Aunt Emily, these kids had a great time with glow sticks and sticky popcorn.
Then came the day of the wedding. Jed and Andrea had an amazing sealing and it turned out to be a perfect day. They are a very fun and amazing couple. So excited to have Andrea in the family.
Such cute kids. Glad I get to have them in my life.
Joshua was getting a little bored with waiting and taking lots of pictures.
Jed's friends seriously are like this.
It was so fun to be there to watch another one of my siblings be happily married. It is so rewarding to see them find happiness and be sealed as husband and wife for all eternity.
Aliyah and Joshua did a pretty good job of being entertained and staying happy during the long car rides. Joshua entertained us with many games of peek-a-boo.
So grateful to have my family. I am truly blessed with great family in my life.
Daddy is our favorite pal...
The kids were so excited to spoil their daddy for Father's Day. They even helped tremendously with making breakfast.
Aliyah and Joshua were having a great time spoiling him and were proud of all they put together for Jason. It is so much fun to watch them grow and think of others.
Luckily, these kids have the best dad. He is so sweet with them and they love when he comes home. I love watching him be tackled by them as soon as he walks through the door with squeals from Joshua and Aliyah usually telling him everything about her day (she is a girl of course).

First Haircut
I finally decided to even out Aliyah's hair at the beginning of summer. She had such little hair for so long that I just couldn't bring myself to cut it until now. She was so excited to finally get a haircut like all of her friends have had.
The only thing that ended up being sad was I cut only about a 1/2 inch off and she lost a lot of her baby curl. Goodbye to those curls I had longed for my girl to have for nearly two years.
She was thrilled though and always would tell everyone that she is now like Rapunzel since she got her hair cut, too!
