Troy picked me up at the airport after work and it was quite late at night so my sister, Emily, called to figure out why he wasn't home. I had to keep Aliyah quiet so she didn't hear anything and I was dying that she was so upset. Again, my evil self! When we pulled up I was seriously giddy, like Christmas time for a little kid.
We surprised Emily first and she was coming out of sleep so it made it even better. Pure confusion! Then we ran over to my parents house and my mom's jaw dropped. It was classic and I wish I had a picture of it. Although, the best part of the night was my mom saying, "I guess this means I am not having a colonoscopy!" (sorry mom, just too funny) My dad had to get my mom out of working on Friday and told her that he had something planned for her, but she wasn't to ask questions. My mom in her strange way decided that my dad planned a colonoscopy for her. She was sure glad to see me!
Aliyah and I had a great time while being with family. I think she had an overload of attention that it wiped her out.

She found the "secret room" soon after being there. She loved closing the door, turning on and off the light, and reading in the little room just her size.

Aliyah had a blast getting to know her cousins. She especially loved Macey Jane, but thought she could carry her around since she is younger than her. She kept saying, "baby...baby" in a sad voice because she wanted to hold her all the time.
(isn't she adorable?)

All the cousins together

We found out what Aliyah would look like with hair.

Took little Brooklyn to ballet. Such a beautiful ballerina!

Dancing to Caleb's guitar playing

On Friday, my sisters, mom, Macey, Aliyah and I all went out for a girl's day. It was so much fun just being spontaneous and just talking and laughing.
We shopped and shopped...
We visited one of my favorite stores, Hobby Lobby. I could spend so much time and money there if I weren't careful. Good thing hair things for little girls are so cheap.

We went out to eat at a train station and climbed over all the trains. Seriously, grown women climbing on trains must be entertaining to watch.

(I was definitely not this brave)

We walked the temple grounds and binged on ice cream.

It was a very fun time with the girls and I am glad I got to have that experience with them. I love the women in my life and am grateful for their good influence. I especially am grateful to my mom and Jason's mom. They are both so amazing and I couldn't ask for more perfect examples.
I love being a mom and teaching Aliyah. I am grateful each day for the things I get to witness as her mother. It is truly beautiful to watch a child grow and learn. I couldn't imagine anything better.
She makes my heart melt!

Lastly, I have an amazing husband who so willingly let me take off to see my family and sent his own surprise to all the mothers. Thanks dear, I love you!
