Beautiful Easter Moments

We continued with our Passover tradition this year. We enjoyed a nice dinner Monday evening including rosemary lamb (Lamb of God/Christ as a sacrifice), hard boiled egg dipped in salt water (the tears we shed through repentance and the new life we have as we repent), romaine lettuce (the bitterness of sin), unleavened bread (Christ is the Bread of Life), and apple crisp (the mortar used) for dessert. We also had a wonderful Family Home Evening including this video (sorry I can't figure out how to insert the video, so just follow the link):

His Sacred Name: An Easter Declaration

I have really appreciated this tradition we have started. It starts out the week prior to Easter with a focus on our Savior and all that His atoning sacrifice and Resurrection provides for us. I know that He lives and loves us.

The week followed with fun times with the kiddos...

Joshua is getting so big and loves to "talk" and laugh. He still can turn emotions quickly...one moment laughing the next screaming, but he gives so many smiles and giggles lately.

He is such an observant kid and the most fun is buzzing our lips for him and he will copy us with a bunch of slobbery smiles and bubbles. Aliyah loves to interact with him, and he honestly loves her.

Aliyah enjoyed decorating Easter eggs this year. She kept dipping them as much as she could and didn't want to stop. She would peek in the refrigerator to marvel at them.

Our Easter Sunday was nice but snowy. Aliyah loved wearing her new dress and spinning around in it. She came home from nursery telling me all about Jesus coming back to life. She has been so intrigued with this story lately and it is an everyday conversation with her. I am just hoping it continues everyday so that she has a strong testimony of our Savior's love and sacrifice for each one of us.

She enjoyed too much sugar and we were grateful when the sugar-induced craziness ended. Thank goodness she is too young to understand that candy still exists in our home.

I am so grateful for the Easter season and that we are able to celebrate the life of our Savior, Jesus Christ. He lives!
